YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR

2,000.00 MONTHLY

 

The Town of Berlin is seeking a Contractual Youth Program Coordinator to develop, implement, and evaluate programs for the youth in the Town of Berlin.  Position is responsible for assessing youth program needs and requirements; ensuring youth activities are available after school, weekends, and during the summer; coordinating with youth organizations, evaluating effectiveness of existing youth programs, and determining need for new programs in the community.  This position is responsible for encouraging local youth to participate in Town programs as well as recruiting, training, and directing volunteers.  The successful candidate will possess demonstrated knowledge in youth program development and implementation; ability to administer youth programs; posses excellent verbal, written presentation, decision making, listening, and communication skills.  Applicants are required to possess at least an Associate’s Degree in a related field, possess at least 1 year of volunteer or paid experience in developing and/or coordinating youth programs, availability to work during evenings and/or weekends; and have the ability to successfully complete a background investigation.  Applications may be submitted to:  Town of Berlin, Attn: Human Resources, 10 William Street, Berlin, Maryland 21811.  EOE.  This position will remain open until filled.
